Function
The R&D processes of Coating lie particularly in the field of surface active applications, physical chemical - and some organic synthetic processes. The R&D Specialist Coating ensures in an independent manner the development of new products and in close cooperation with Marketing and Product Management initiates and conducts research to improve and/or develop new product applications. Important criteria being time-to-market, cost efficiency and commercial translations. The R&D Specialist Coating reports directly to the Head of R&D. Close cooperation with Product Management is daily practice.
Profile
Finished higher professional education in Chemistry (or equivalent). At least 5 years work experience in this special field of application. Good knowledge of polymeric chemistry. Technical knowledge and experience in the field of coating. Decisive, pragmatic specialist with a commercial disposition. Good control of English and German language.
R&D department
R&D is responsible for essential product innovation and development. In a constantly changing and innovative market, the R&D department ensures product development in a very short time-to-market period. Important innovations for customers take place in the field of eco-awareness, cost efficiency and improved functioning of products. Moreover the R&D department is responsible for troubleshooting, up-scaling of production and competitive research.
